If you look on my About page, you have probably noticed that I play the Eb Clarinet. So back when I went to Troy University’s Clarinet Day back in March 2017, I saw two or three other Clarinetist that had a type of Clarinet I had never seen or heard of before. I had played Bb Clarinet since I was in sixth grade and I played the Bb Bass Clarinet for Concert Band that concert season. I later learned that they had Eb Clarinets, this cute, tiny clarinet. I fell in love with it because of the saxophone tone/sound it had to it, but (mainly) because I’ve been wanting/looking for another clarinet and the bulkiness of the Clarinet itself and it’s case. With the Eb, it was the smaller option that I was looking for. That was the only thing I could talk about for about two weeks, and my grandmother, a fellow clarinetist in high school, got one for me and I could never thank her enough; I have probably thanked her over a thousand times already. I pay it for my High Schools Concert Band Season and I’m loving it. I love enriching myself in different parts of music. I hope I will be able to play it next year and in college. If you have any questions about ANY of the clarinets, please don’t hesitate to comment below. Thank you for reading, see you next time!
A few months back I saw this Youtube video that Alexandra Plans did, she explains that she puts all of her Bullet Journal supplies in an electronic cable organizer and it got me to thinking “I could do this too!” so I looked it up on Amazon and it’s called BUBM Double Layer Electronics Organizer/Travel Gadget Bag For Cables, Memory Cards, Flash Hard Drive and More, Fit For iPad Or Tablet. At the time I didn’t have enough money on my Amazon account so I knew I had to wait till Christmas, it cost $15 and it was the only REALLY good kind that was less than $20-30, cause I’m a cheapo. If you are a fellow Bullet Journalist and/or love collecting pens and stationary, you probably have a lot of pens, markers, and other journal supplies. This bag gives you a TON of room for all of your supplies. If you’re the kind of person who brings their Bullet Journal around, outside of the house or brings it on vacation, then you want something that you can pick-up-and-go and this is perfect! Another plus with this bag is it leaves you desk-space, instead of using jars or just chunking it all in a drawer, it can all be organized.
So if you’re like me you’ve probably have taken all the quizzes you can on Pottermore and I thought it would be a great thing to share. I have seen all the Harry Potter movies (Including Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them) and I’ve already read the first two books and started on the third book. Once I read one book I rewatch the movie to see this differences and to understand the movies better. So let’s plunge into my results:
My Hogwarts House:
I’ve known about all the Hogwarts Houses since I was little and I felt always felt like I didn’t belong in Gryffindor or Slytherin. In the first movie when The Sorting Hat sorts Lavender Bron into Hufflepuff, I was intrigued, I asked my mom “What’s a Hufflepuff?” and she told me that “They are very kind and loyal.” so, since then I proclaimed myself a Hufflepuff. That happened when I was around the age of 8-10. I didn’t take the official test till I turned 13; I was bored and thought “What the heck, why not.” I fell in love with the Pottermore website and found the test super fun. I was also super nervous, “What if I got Slytherin!” I tried to not think. I kept thinking like Harry, “Not Slytherin, Not Slytherin”; and before I knew it, the test was over. When I looked onto my computer screen I saw the bright yellow all over the screen; my prediction was correct years before. I saw the crest and a badger on the crest and on the screen below it. I was ecstatic; the only part I was upset about was, at first, I thought the badger was a skunk until I realized it was a badger then I felt better and was in love again. Years later I forgot my login information, so I had to make another account. I took both the Hogwarts house and patronus quiz and both times I got the same results.
So when I saw this new feature I was skeptical because when I took the Ilvermorny House quiz I hadn’t seen Fantastic Beast yet, so I didn’t understand it all yet, but I took it anyway. Again, it was a fun quiz and when it was done I saw the screen go red and this flower-like illustration appeared with an Indian-like man in the flower; I got Pukwudgie. All I could find abut Pukwudgies on the website was that they “Represent the heart and favor healers.” So, in my opinion, the Pukwudgie house seems like the Hufflepuff of the Ilvermorny School, but I have not researched the other Ilvermorny houses so I can’t say so.
I took the Patronus test twice like I did for my Hogwarts Hose and both times I got the same results. The quiz was, again I say, fun; it was cool to watch the screen go around the forest as it asked you questions. I thought mine would be cooler than it turned out to be because of the hype about the website and quiz. Yes, I know it’s only a quiz but still. When I was finished I watched my creature take form and run around in the forest – I got a Black Mare, aka, a black horse. I know Ginny’s is a horse but I was expecting something different.
When I saw this as a new feature a few years ago I got really excited because I have wanted to know which wand would choose me. I got a Hawthorne Wood, that’s 11″ inches, with Unicorn Hair Core, and it’s Quite Bendy Flexibility. I love that I was able to take this quiz and it was really cool to be able to. I love this wand and can’t wait to see more quizes from Rowling in the future.

Since I logged off of here in September, I’ve still kept up with things; such as social media. In-band we got all 1s (which is the best numeral score you can get at competitions) with superior ratings. Our theme this year was Tribute to Southern Rock. The show included Sweet Home Alabama, Ramblin’ Man – Flirtin’ with Disaster, Hard to Handle – Black Betty, and Free Bird. Some people went to Chicago in November to perform in a parade they had there. We planned on doing three Christmas parades but we only were able to do one because one got rained out and the other got snowed out (I live in the south and people act like the world is ending if there’s even the slightest chance of snow).
So during the Christmas break, I have started reading more, I know this is late doing this but I’ve started reading the Harry Potter Series. I’m only on book one though, but I am trying to not procrastinate and read it. After I read that series I plan on reading the Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children Series by Ransom Riggs. For school I had to read, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, 1984 by George Orwell, and The Circle by Dave Eggers. Out of all the ones I had to read for school, my favorite was 1984; it was chilling and intriguing, a definite must-read.
If you’re wondering what I got for Christmas then you’ve come to the right place; my mom found this great idea on Pinterest where you buy someone (like your kids, for example) one gift card each month throughout the year, at any value you choose (my mom chose $25 cards). You can choose whatever kind of gift card to get; this way you don’t have to worry about what your kid wants for Christmas. My mom found this easier and cheaper option for Christmas, all she had to really purchase was stocking stuffers done!
I’ve loved The Sims since I can remember, I would observe the computer screen when my mom played The Sims 3; I loved watching her play, and when I started playing I fell in love with it all over again. I played Sims 3 for about 2-3 years, I held on to it for as long as possible, when I started playing Sims 4, I was very disappointed, it didn’t have any of the cool things The Sims 3 have (it didn’t even have pool option). Yeah, the graphics were great but 14-year-old me didn’t understand that the expansion packs take time to develop and come out. It wasn’t till Get to Work came out that I really got into the gameplay. Now I’m still in love with The Sims franchise and can’t wait to see where it leads.
Hoping to start off the 2018 year off right, Please like and follow my blog and make sure you either see the links at the bottom of this post or scroll to the bottom screen to follow me on social media.
So if you haven’t noticed lately, I have not posted at all since September; once school started back I lost my mojo on this blog and it didn’t seem fun anymore with the stress of school life and wanting to spend the weekend with my family. It takes a lot longer that five minutes to type up and post on here every day or week.
I am on my 2nd week (of a 3 week break)of being out of school for Christmas Break, so I will try to post during the remaining week(s).
Sorry for being so inactive guys, I’ve got so much school stuff that I’m involved in with band and classes, I’ll try to be better later. I’m out of school for 9/11 & 9/12 due to Irma (live in Alabama) so I’ll try to post on one of those days. Hope everyone is having a great day and is ready for fall. (U.S.)
I’ve just finished my 2017-2018 Band Camp and thought I’d share the things you need to survive Band Camp.
Water: Have a gallon jug, or any big jug, filled up with water for when your outside. DO NOT bring a 20oz. water bottle! A water backpack will also do.
Gatorade/Powerade: Drink either at breakfast and at dinner, or bedtime, (avoid red)
** A great tip is to alternate between gat./pow. and water, to keep the electrolytes in your body while you outside to keep hydrated.
Breakfast: You want to east a good Breakfast (as of any day). Toast with peanut butter and fruit is a good choice. You want to avoid things with a high dairy count and eggs!
Lunch: Depending on your band camp ( some provide lunch, others don’t). If your band camp doesn’t provide lunch, then you need to pack something simple to pack and store. A sandwich is a great option. the types of sandwiches you could pack are limitless, just make sure that is has protein on it. Add something on the lines of chips or crackers, fruits, veggies, and/or a sweet and you have a easy lunch.
Snacks: You need to bring snacks because some band camps don’t provide these or you may just not like what’s being served. Some good snacks to pack are, nuts, crackers/chips, fruits, salt-based things, etc.
Frog-togs or a wet cloth are sure to keep you (some-what) cool. A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, tennis shoes, and tank tops with shorts or lightweight clothes are sure to help you out in a big way.
If you feel like you’re going to pass-out, or just not well, please sit out or talk to your band director about it.
Romans 10: 9-10
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
John 5: 24
24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgement, but has passed from death to life.
God, I now realize how you have been pursuing me my entire life. I can now clearly see how much you love me, and I am ready to give up everything to follow you. Forgive my sins. Make me new. Be my savior. Amen.
